Oh me of large discouragement.

When is it going to give? I can't take this pressure anymore! So many things cause me to be discouraged. Even being washed in the blood of Christ it is still easy to get discouraged. If the battle is won through Jesus, then why does discouragement come to me? Well there has to be a reason. The devil brings discouragement or the situation is discouraging. Well that may be where it comes from but our very mindset and focus can bring it on us as well. You know, right now in our economic times and uncertain circumstances it is very easy to say I give up, or I don't care anymore. Did you know that even face to face with Jesus, Peter had discouragement? Check it out:

Matthew 14:29-31
29 "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"

You see when Peter took his focus off of Christ, discouragement and doubt set in. Then look at what happened...he began to sink in the water. Is this discouraging time in my life because I am too overwhelmed about circumstances and my focus is on them rather than Jesus? Maybe that is the case. When being discouraged sets in so does doubt. Never underestimate how easy it is to let this happen. We have to keep our view, focus, and mind on Christ at all times.

Getting in focus,
