Do you ever?

Have you ever done anything you regreted? Sure you have. I do everyday. I say something or think something or even do soemthing I wish I had not have done. The one great truth is that no matter how we fail or how bad we fail Christ died to free us from that bondage. Just think, are you struggling with something? I know I do. Jesus' sacrifice was for that very thing you struggle with. What a great truth we have to know Christ is the answer to overcome sin!

Well let's get down to the basics. I am a Christian, right? Sure I am! If that is the case then I am to be an example of Christ too. Just professing to being a Christian and not living like one just don't cut it. Wonder why people think Christians are so hypocritcal? Well we forget that we are to be salt and light of the earth. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 11:1...

"Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ."

Can I honestly tell someone to follow my example because I follow Christ so perfectly? Well maybe at times I can say "ok do this or that as I do it." What if I slip up that and day treat folks bad and forget to pray and so? Do I tell folks to follow me then? Well it is a complete lifestyle as far as the big piture goes. All humans know that all humans make mistake. If you were to follow me around with a camera day in and day out then you would see my obedience to God outweighs my failures. So, look at what Jesus had to say...

Matthew 5:48
"Be perfect as my Father in heaven is perfect."

How can we be a "perefect example" if we make mistakes all the time. Jesus meant to be holy which in terms means "set apart." God through His Son, through His Son Christ Jesus has declared us perfect through a perfect sacrifice. That is how we are to be perfect. As long as we are glorifying Him then we will be a holy example.
This is something I struggle with this issue everyday. It would be hard to tell someone follow my example on a daily basis!

Striving to be holy as me Father is holy.

If I am not a judge, then why do I act like one?

Look at that boy with the earring, or he has got tattoos. Maybe you have heard or even said this...look at them, they drink alcohol or do drugs. I can't believe someone would do that, or I would never do that. Well that may be all well and good but we are actually doing just as worse by passing judgement. The bad thing about it we are doing it to 2 people. We condemn the person we are judging. Then we are heaping judgment upon ourselves.

Romans 2:1-2 says "Therefore you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things".

So instead of trying to take Gods place as judge let us do what Christ said and spread the gospel. I wonder if those very people we judge are actually hurting and broken people who are desperately in need of salvation? SURE THEY ARE! Now what is our problem? We don't have no idea what people are going through but we are so quick to say look at them. Until we set our standard as Christ then we will always find fault with others and not ourselves. Are we being like Christ or are we trying to put ourselves in His shoes?

Well remeber what John 3:17 says..."For God sent not His Son into the world to CONDEMN the world; but that the world through Him might be saved".

So if Christ didn't condemn the lost, then why are we?

Trying to love more with His Power.
