James 1:13-14

Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.

Attitude towards God

Eccleciastes 5:1-2
Guard your steps as you go to the house of God and draw near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools; for they do not know they are doing evil. Do not be hasty in word or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter in the presence of God. For God is in heaven and you are on the earth; therefore let your words be few.

May revival start & stay in me.

We have been going through revival at our church.  It has been different than the usual revival where a speaker comes for 2 -5 nights.  I have been to many of these and most were convicting.  The one right now is being done by Life Action Ministries.  All I can say is that these people love God and are willing to sacrifice in order to bring us 15 days of teaching.  In these sessions the Holy Spirit has brought me to my knees in conviction.  I thank God for these people on this team.

I said all that to say this.  It is easy to complain about the lack of impact churches are making for the Lord Jesus Christ.  I have done it so many times.  God has really showed me something over the last 10 days.  I have NO right complaining about the lack of impact when I myself am not being fruitful for Christ.  May The Lord have mercy upon me and through His grace and compassion, allow me to become who He wants me to be.

May revival START & STAY in me,

The sin of pride has a way know...killing you!

One of the scriptures I was reading this morning was Isaiah 5:21 - "Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and clever in their own sight!"  For myself, most of the sin I am tempted, or struggle with is a form of pride.  The flesh rears its ugly head saying "I like this or I like that.  I have to remind myself that I can do nothing, or can know anything apart from the Holy Spirit.

The Lord sure has been merciful to me.  I deserve nothing but wrath.  That's why God's grace is so amazing.  Here is an example of His love for us.

The Holy God created me.  In my birth I was God hating.  As I grew I never sought God, He would seek me.  I blasphemed God with my sin.  I belittled God with my wickedness and gave this flesh the glory that only He deserves.  In seeing there is no hope for me without His mercy...He sent His Only Son.  He put the curse of sin that WE ALL have upon Him.  He then crushed, and killed The very One He loved as He turned His back on Him, because of our sin.  He raised Him from the dead.  By doing so Christ gave us, as wicked beings a right standing before a Holy God.  Only if we believe upon His Holy Name.

You see, this is why I NEVER trust my flesh.  It leads to sin every single time.  This is why my wisdom and trust in myself is foolishness.  I pray that I am led by the Spirit.

Praise God for his good news.
